Calling Upon the Church Triumphant

In these times of great apostasy, when the true Catholic Church has been eclipsed by a counterfeit sect born of the heretical Vatican II Council, the faithful remnant must cling ever more fervently to the ancient prayers and devotions of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. Among the most solemn and powerful of these is the Litany of the Saints—a sacred invocation of the Church Triumphant to intercede for the Church Militant. This prayer, rooted in the earliest centuries of Christianity and preserved in its traditional Latin form, is a magnificent expression of the Communion of Saints. It calls upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, the holy Apostles, Martyrs, Confessors, Virgins, and all the Saints to plead for us before the throne of Almighty God.

Unlike the novelties introduced by the post-Conciliar "Church"—which falsely presents itself as Catholic but is, in fact, a new religion—this Litany is untouched by modernist corruption. It reflects the true spirit of the Roman Rite and aligns perfectly with the unchanging doctrine of the pre-Vatican II Magisterium. Let us, therefore, embrace this prayer with confidence and reverence, knowing that in doing so, we remain united with the same Faith professed by the Saints of old and the faithful Catholics of every age.

  • A Prayer of Universal Intercession – Calls upon the entire Heavenly Church to intercede for the faithful.

  • Deeply Rooted in Church Tradition – Used in papal elections, ordinations, and processions since the earliest centuries.

  • Part of Traditional Exorcism Rites – Frequently used by exorcists in the Roman Ritual for deliverance from demonic forces.

  • Affirms the Communion of Saints – Strengthens belief in the unity between the Church Militant (Earth), the Church Suffering (Purgatory), and the Church Triumphant (Heaven).

  • A Plea for Divine Mercy – The repeated "miserére nobis" (have mercy on us) reinforces our dependence on God’s grace and the intercession of His saints.

4. How to Integrate the Prayer Into Daily Life

  • Pray It During Major Feast Days – Recite it on All Saints' Day, Pentecost, and Solemn Liturgical Celebrations.

  • Use It for Personal Protection – Invoke the saints’ intercession in times of spiritual warfare.

  • Recite It in Times of Sickness or Crisis – A plea for heavenly aid in suffering or danger.

  • Include It in Family or Community Prayer – A beautiful way to unite in prayer for God’s mercy and protection.

  • Pray It in Latin for Greater Spiritual Depth – Helps retain the sacred, traditional form of the liturgy.

📌 When reciting the Litánia Sanctorum, show reverence and devotion by:

  • Kneeling or Standing in Solemn Reverence – Recognizing the majesty of God and His saints.

  • Praying With Intentionality – Meditating on each invocation, asking for the saints’ intercession.

5. Lesson Summary

The Litany of the Saints is a traditional Catholic prayer that invokes the intercession of the holy men and women of God. It is a profound expression of our communion with the Saints and an essential weapon in the spiritual life, especially needed in our times of widespread apostasy and false religion.

6. Final Thought – Why This Prayer Matters

The Litany of the Saints is not just a pious exercise—it is a lifeline for Catholics who remain faithful to the true Church amid the great apostasy of our times. Since the infiltration of modernism and the betrayal of the Faith at Vatican II, Catholics who desire to remain within the Barque of Peter must distinguish between the unchanging Faith handed down from the Apostles and the new religion promulgated by false shepherds. The post-Conciliar “Catholic Church” has fabricated its own liturgies, altered the theology of the Mass, redefined the priesthood, and promoted religious indifferentism and ecumenism—all condemned by the true Magisterium.

In such perilous times, we turn to the tried and true forms of prayer, such as the Litany of the Saints, to fortify our souls and seek heavenly aid. These sacred words, hallowed by centuries of use in the Roman Rite, unite us with the Saints who preserved the Faith in times of persecution and confusion. They remind us that the Church is not bound to the errors of the present age, but lives in continuity with her Divine Founder, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and His faithful followers throughout the ages.

To pray the Litany is to proclaim, with our lips and hearts, that we believe in the One True Church, outside of which there is no salvation—a truth so scandalously neglected in modern times. It is a bold rejection of the counterfeit conciliar sect and an affirmation of our allegiance to the same Faith that sanctified countless martyrs and confessors. By invoking the Saints, we call on our elder brethren in the Faith to assist us in persevering to the end, so that we too may be counted among them in eternal glory.

In a world increasingly hostile to Truth, and a Church largely taken over by error, let us hold fast to the prayers, doctrines, and devotions of the true Catholic Faith. The Litany of the Saints is one such treasure—ancient, powerful, and wholly Catholic. May it strengthen us in the fight, guide us in the darkness, and bring us ever closer to the triumph of Christ the King and the restoration of His Holy Church.
